This beautiful picture brought to mind a thought that came into my head at Dingwalls in London when I was listening to your performance this year. Being at a Katzenjammer gig is certainly a visceral experience. Just like you interact with each other on stage, Girls, your audience feels and interacts with you in the same physical way. You certainly ‘work’ your audience. It’s impossible not to get involved into your performance and not to respond to your music with the whole of one’s being. What happens next, once that connection is established, is a mystery to me, because it happened to me and to people around me. A girl standing behind me said, ‘Oh my God! They’ve changed my life!’ In retrospect, I realise that I can say absolutely the same.
